Proficiency Levels and their Descriptors

CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS Tests

Each component of the CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS Test will be given a CELPIP Level. Below is a chart of each CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS levels and their corresponding description. Since the CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS Test scores have been calibrated against the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) levels, we have included the CLB level equivalencies for your information.

Each component of the CELPIP-Academic Test will be given a CELPIP Level. Below is a chart of each CELPIP-Academic level and its corresponding description.
