Test Day Information

What to Bring on Test Day

 1. Valid Photo Identification

To be acceptable, your identification must be original, valid, and have your full name as it appears on your test registration.

Acceptable identification for the CELPIP-General Test:

  • Passport

Acceptable identification for CELPIP-General LS Test and CELPIP-Academic Test:

  • Passport, or
  • Canadian Permanent Resident Card

Unacceptable identification includes:

  • any expired document
  • any photocopied document
  • Social Security card
  • Social Insurance card
  • driver’s license
  • employee identity card
  • student identification card
  • notary-prepared letter or document
  • credit card of any type

IMPORTANT: Test takers who do not provide their valid identification during check-in at the test sitting will be refused entry to the test and will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.

2. Test Confirmation Email

Once registered, you will be emailed a Test Confirmation Email. Make sure to print it out and bring it with you to the test sitting.

The Test Confirmation Email will include the following information:

  • Your Test Registration Number.
  • Your Name. Check the name on the Test Confirmation Email to make sure that it is spelled exactly the same as on your identification.
  • Test Sitting Information. Check carefully the address of the testing centre, and the date and time of the test.
  • Identification Requirements for admission to the test.

1) check the junk folder in your email, or
2) contact our office.
